Chambourcin is a French-American hybrid grape of unknown parentage that was initially widely planted in France in the 1940’s. Chambourcin has been praised for its fruit quality and fungal resistance, making it especially suited for sustainable farming practices in the Mid-Atlantic.
Light bodied with aromas of wild raspberry and ripe strawberry. Dark red fruits predominate the palate with hints of wet slate. Low acidity and tannin provide a refreshing and pleasant finish.
